A thousand raindrops kiss the mountain pond,
Sweet, wet, succulent, dripping,
Merging, mingling with stillness,
Subtle whisper sounds only two discern.
By the pool lounging lazily, lovingly,
Touched by heaven's shower they are cleaned,
Washed anew by each other's presence.
Waves lap the lovers' lingering toes,
Tiny ripples radiate outward from each drop,
Each heartbeat brings inner tingly pulses.
Gazes penetrate the armor stripped, laid aside,
Worn in public but not now in greater intimacy,
A notion alien not so many lunations past.
Into their souls they peer, joyous views unfold,
But not merely a thousand pendulous water orbs,
Falling from the skies of dark azure blue,
But a million billion white diamonds wet and warm,
Salty angel tears spilled at the beautiful wonder,
Of two who wandered here and discovered bliss,
Speaking their magic as they kiss the waiting earth.
